Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) takes only a few hours, but can add years to someone’s life. Adult and/or pediatric CPR certification is valid for two years following completion of an in-person or blended learning course.

There are a number of various options to take CPR lessons, including in-person and online-only. Classes taught in-person are delivered by skilled teachers who blend lecture with skill-building exercises. Those who learn best in traditional classroom environments should choose them. Blended learning CPR courses mix online instruction with in-person practical practice. Blended learning is a practical choice for those who wish to acquire life-saving information on their own time and from the comfort of their own homes. However, online courses without an in-person skills session do not satisfy certification requirements for the job.
